Types of lighting
There are two different types of lighting identified in media:
high key lighting: this is where there are lots of lights used to create a light and upbeat atmosphere and show the audience everything in the scene. this type of lighting is used in romance and comedy films to keep the atmosphere light and funny.
low key lighting: this is using less lights and creating a darker and more gloomy atmosphere this is preventing the audience from seeing everything in the scene, this type of lighting is commonly used in horror films to create suspense.
