Examples of fonts and No Pulse's 'Seance' font.
The reason why we tried out different fonts before we applied them to our OTS is so we could decide which ones would work well into our sub-genre. Since our sub-genre is paranormal, our group wanted the font to look spooky and ghostly.
Messy
The font of this writing is named 'Crucifixion Regular'. We found this font inspirational as the name of the font is good and it has a devilish feeling to it; however the writing doesn't look professional and clear. Even though it looks devilish so it's suitable, but we need to consider the audience trying to read the writing.Which they'd find it difficult to read.
Too big
The name of this font is 'Rosewood STD Regular'. We liked this font because it was much bigger than the previous font. So the audience could see the titles more clearly. Likewise, we also liked the colour of black in white in the font . Although this font is bigger and has colour inside it, when we minimize this font the writing looks unusual and unclear. Also the colour in the font would not look complimentary to our OTS, as our whole OTS is in black and white. It would be like using white font on a white background.
Too simple
The name of this font is called Bodoni 72 Smallcaps Book. We liked this font because the title looks simple and clear. Which also looks more professional. However this font looks too simple for our liking, and a little bold.
No Pulse's conclusion
This font is called Eccentric STD. Our group liked this font as it looks clear, therefore makes it simple and clear to read. Both enlarged or small. The font looks sharp and sharpness represents the Devils cane, knife etc. So this font can relate to evil. We too liked this font as it's not as bold as the second font, not as messy as the first font. Likewise, not as boring as the third font.
