180 Degree Rule
The 180 degree rule is a filming technique that must be followed when filming any kind of conversation as it follows continuity. The Rule states that the camera must stay on one side of the people during the filming and must not cross over to the other side, but is allowed free movement on that side of the people. IF the camera goes onto the other side of the people being filmed it brakes the connection between the characters and the objects that are in that room.
For our preliminary task we were asked to film a short conversation and the only thing we were told was that it must be titled 'the exchange'.
Good Preliminary
This is our good preliminary task because there is not a continuity error and we learnt about the 180 degree rule and managed not to break it. The conversation flows and there are not continuity errors.
